What you use says a lot about you!
When it comes to your professional profile picture on LinkedIn there are many thoughts on the subject.
Do you have a blank profile? A professional head shot? Do you use a personal picture? Or a picture you took of yourself using your cellphone and the bathroom mirror?
I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Is your profile there to connect with other people or professionals?
Are you looking for a new job or career? It is your own opinion what you choose. However, if you are looking for a job now, employers are reading your profile. If you are using your profile to connect, it might help the person who you want to connect with, to see your profile picture. Do they know you? Or are you a stranger - that has the same career as them and you just want to increase your circle of professionals in the industry.
It comes down to your own personal preference what you choose to have. If your profile picture is blank, you might not get people to link with you, as they don't know if you are even the person they know. If you are using a personal picture or a bathroom mirror picture, some people might think that you are not professional. So there are many thoughts to this topic. Only you can choose what is right for you.
